Morning broke, to find the kids OK after their swim the previous night. We had breakfast in the room, and when the other s returned from their breakfast jaunt we got into our swimming gear, and headed off the second of the Disney waterparks Blizzard Beach. Joy & Chris once again went off and did their own thing, as this was where Russell and Brigitte had brought them yesterday. We arrived before opening time, and joined the queue. When the "doors" opened we trooped in and found a great place to stash away our bits. This time we all went off to do the rides together. Anita had decided that she would be with us, but would try and keep her ears dry. We had even bought her some earplugs, which she managed to forget to bring with her.
There is a great family ride where all four of could go in one raft together, down a great slide, which tosses and turns you around. The raft was superb, and we got it to go very fast. At the end of the run there is a photographer who takes your photo which you can buy later. When we finished the first run we returned up the slide and changed it so that Andrew Russell and I were in one, and Lauren Anita & Brigitte in the other.
There was another lazy river to circumnavigate around the park. Once again I had great fun trying to get into the tube again, but I was successful quicker this time. There was also a great slide where you go down on a carpet. Andrew didn't want to do this one, but everyone else really enjoyed it, so he came down the second time. We consumed lunch here, well hot dogs and chips, washed down with Bud or Pepsi (well everyone else had Pepsi and I Had the Bud - enough said). After a mornings good swimming we decide to head off and go back to MGM studios. We had not done everything the last time and wanted to complete the park today.
We arrive with the idea of doing a few of the things that we missed out before, as well as doing the rides we enjoyed a lot as well. We decided that as we had already seen the parade, whilst other people were standing waiting, we could do a few of the bigger rides without much in the way of queuing. There is one point to note. I would not under any circumstances attempt the Tower of Terror. As one final thing to do Anita talks Russell into going on with her. She is well pleased to have done it. My excuse was that as I had consumed a few beers it would be very polite for me to be sick over anyone else. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Still she was very happy that she had done it and got a photograph to prove it. Once again we head for home. Anita decides to finish all the washing and takes Russell's and Brigitte's as well. She is still washing at about eleven o'clock. To start with we let the kids have a play on the machines in the hotel. We take it in turns to watch them. Then we take them upto the room and start to pack with them, and then put them to bed. It is fortunate that we had taken some extra storage space, but we didn't have enough. The kids fall asleep, and once Anita returns we hit the scotch, which had not been touched for the last week while she was taking the tablets for her ears.
