Woke up reasonably early, to find Anita is really struggling with her ears. She has been awake most of the night with severe pain. Russell and Anita go to find out if there is a doctor in the hotel. They are sent to a local Medicare centre. Anita is given a full medical and is then given some eardrops and antibiotics to help her survive for the rest of the holiday. Fortunately our insurance covers us, so all we will have to pay is the excess. They return some time later, and we all decide that we need to take a lazy day. So we decide to go shopping, at the Florida Mall. I am looking for a couple of CDs and books and the kids just want to spend their money.

We spend all morning and quite a lot of the afternoon walking around and shopping. Lauren and Anita get really good value coats. I manage to get one of the CDs that I wanted. We also buy bits and bobs. Places like the Florida mall make shopping so much nicer than back home. If only lakeside was a bit like this.........
I manage to buy a CD and a few books. It is amazing that the price is probably one dollar for each pound, i.e. if a book is marked up as ten dollars, the sterling price is also 10! - Somebody somewhere is ripping us off, if you know what I mean! We return back to the hotel for a bit of a swim, well everyone bar Anita, who is not allowed anywhere near the water because of her ears. Andrew is once again launched vast distances. On this occasion there is an American couple sitting by the pool with their daughter, who is about Lauren's age. Lauren begins to play with this little girl, while Andrew is being thrown by Russell and I. Lauren then comes over to be thrown, and the other little girl then asks if we can throw her. We look around and the parents aren't taking any notice, so we throw her once. She and Lauren then swim away and play. Later on they return, at which point Mom & Dad call over the little girl. She is not allowed to play with Lauren anymore! (Because of us methinks). After an hour or so we return to the room for a bit of a rest. We get ready to go out for a walk around Downtown Disney. We have a meal and off we go. As it is a lazy day we don't really walk very far, or fast. It is very pleasant, basically doing nothing, just looking at the shops.
We decide to return home to the hotel. When we arrive everyone is a bit peckish. We decide on a late night picnic in our room. Russell and I go down to the bar area and buy Pizzas and Hotdogs and chips for everyone and return to the room. The snack is consumed with delight. The kids think it is brilliant being able to eat like this in our room. Slowly all the food is consumed. Russell and Brigitte go back to their own room. The kids are put to bed and I have a drink or two. Unfortunately Anita cannot drink because of the tablets.
