We decide that today we would revisit the Magic Kingdom and do some of the things that we missed last time. Anita and the kids eat breakfast as usual and the rest of us head off to the Ponderosa again. Joy & Chris are going to do their own thing again today. The rest head off for the Magic Kingdom again. We again take the Ferry over to the Kingdom. As with the second visit to most of the parks we take it a little easier today. We visit some of the things that we had done previously and enjoyed and some that we had missed first time around. The Pirates of the Caribbean is a favourite so off we trek. We also do Big Thunder Mountain again. We decide against Splash Mountain as the queues are getting big for that. As we wander around the park, you don't see any rubbish. Magic Kingdom is very magical. We all enjoy it again.
As the afternoon begins to fade, we return to the hotel to ready for tonight's entertainment, which is the Backyard Barbecue. We are all looking forward to this one.
As Anita is still taking her tablets she decides that she will drive us. So we all clamber into the A-wagon and head off towards Wilderness Lodge which is close to where the Barbecue is being held. We arrive at the venue, and have our photograph taken. Unfortunately when we go looking for the picture it has not come out. Oh well it's their loss. We go and find some seats. We have to have armbands put on us. The adults have one colour and the kids another colour. What this allows you to do is to take drinks. The kids can only take soft ones whereas we can have anything we want. It amazes me that that we have to have these armbands as surely if you can only just see over the table you can't drink! Well what do I know? We are then invited to get some food. There is an amazing spread for a barbecue. Anita even has a Hot dog. Now that is a first. After the food the entertainment begins. The guests of honour are Goofy, Minnie Mouse, and Chip and Dale.
There is some dancing done by the dancing girls with various guests. A Line dance caller then gets up and tires to teach us how to line dance properly. It is not easy when firstly you are half cut, and secondly your daughter keeps trying to dance with you. Anita is the only one who manages it anything like properly. (Lack of alcohol methinks!)
The are a few more acts, and a band come on and play some good old country music. We miss a superb video opportunity. Anita goes to the bar, to get a drink of Pepsi. Whilst she is waiting to be served, she is jostled from behind. Anita being Anita, pushes back, without looking at who is pushing her. She is pushed again, and she pushes back. For the third time her arm is jostled, she turns around only to be greeted by Chip or Dale. Fancy fighting with a dressed up character. What a typical British Lager (less) Lout!
More drinks are served as the grand finale starts. They have a rope spinner, who not only spins ordinary rope, but manages to spin a rope light as well. Another good night's entertainment. The kids really enjoyed playing on an old stagecoach that was in the corner. We didn't mind however until we viewed the video back home to find that they were eight feet up and if they had fallen, they would have hit concrete.
Two very sleepy children are taken back to the hotel, where they fall asleep very quickly. The adults decide that tomorrow the Starlings will head out as a family, whilst the others do something on their own.
