Well we wake up at a reasonable hour and decide to go back to Universal Studios. We have breakfast in the room, and go down into the car park and take the A-wagon. Anita is very confident driving it now, until she realises that she has got me navigating! We drive where we think we want to go, but unfortunately take a wrong turning and we are heading straight for Disney World. When we approach the car parking attendant and explain our mistake, he is Ok out about it and directs us out of the park, without charging us for the trip. In fact it was as if he was used to this occurrence on a regular basis. (Still he wasn't to know that he had the world's worst navigator giving instructions to the driver did he?)
We decide to take it very easy today. Indeed we were going to enjoy the whole day here. Once again we did all the rides that the kids wanted to, especially Kongfrontation, Hanna Barbera, Jaws et al. It seemed that it wasn't as busy as when we had first come. Hanna Barbera was done once, and because the kids wanted to go again, we rejoined the queue for about two minutes and then we were on the simulator again. We watched the making of a commercial for road safety being made, which consisted of a police car shoot-out. What that has got to do with road safety is anyone's guess.
One of the things that we had missed last time was the Wild West stunt show. So off we went and the kids really enjoyed the gun battles. There was a certain amount of comedy, as well as spectacular stunts. It was funny though that one of the main characters within this show bore an uncanny resemblance to the character Hercules that we had seen the last time we were here. Perhaps it was his twin brother? Most of the stunts although good seemed very dated. In fact so I'm told the Wild West Stunt Show at Eurodisney is supposed to be very much more professional.
At AT & T at The Movies there is a large telephone booth, containing a large telephone. All four of got into this booth and then Andrew and Lauren dialled the number for their Nanny. It rang and we had a five-minute telephone conversation with her and Granddad as well. As it was being paid for by credit card I wondered just how much it was going to cost me, when we returned home. Having said that it was great to speak to them so it would be cheap at any price. When the bill arrived it had only cost us $8.00 or so, so it was really cheap, considering.
All the big rides were completed. We all felt hungry. Time for dinner we said. As we had enjoyed the restaurant so much last time, we decided that Lombard's Landing would the place to go again. We walked around to the restaurant. I had the steak again, but Anita tried the Rib-eye steak. It melted in her mouth. The kids had burgers etc. Our waiter really looked after us. All right there weren't that many people in the restaurant but he was always at our beck and call. He especially looked after the kids.
We asked him where the best place to view the stunt show on the lake was. He told us that the very best place was just outside the restaurant that we were in, but that we would probably have to sit out there for a while, as the places went very quickly. He told us that we could take our drinks out with us. So out we went and waited for about half and hour. We were not disappointed when the show began. It was really something else. There were exploding boats, gunbattles, bombs etc. It was just like something out of a James Bond Movie. The difference was that as we watched the boats put themselves back together again!
As the sun began to set, we headed off home with the sound of battle still ringing in our ears.
Home to the hotel, for a quick swim, well Lauren, Andrew and I in the indoor pool, while Anita started to do some of the five tons of washing that we accumulated. I let the kids swim around for most of the time whilst I read a book and drank a couple of Buds. We didn't realise that the water in this pool was very chlorine. The kids swam for about an hour before they both started to complain of stinging eyes. We took them upstairs, washed their eyes with clean water and then they went to sleep. I carried on watching TV while Anita did some more washing... and more washing ... and more washing...and more washing.
