Girls go horse riding, chilling and shopping day

Anita has a really really bad night – I wake at 3 a.m. needing to go to the toilet, and wake her. She does not go back to sleep!

This is the morning that the girl children are going riding, and Anita gets to read her book sitting in the car! An earlier start than just recently but they get away with plenty of time. They are there quickly, and enjoy their ride – well apart from the fact that there are spiders the size of large cats hanging down when they ride through the forest – well so Stef tells me! Lauren seems very pleased to have been back on a horse again, after a long time with withdrawl symptoms.

While they are away, I begin to sort things out ready for us leaving tomorrow. I get the suitcases out – open them up, and bag up all the shoes that are not going to be used over the next two days. I also do what laundry is laying around and then have a really long bath. Andy wakes up at 11 – has a shower and preens himself. Just after midday Anita and co return bearing gifts – well actually Krispy Kreme doughnuts!

A quick snack, and the need to do MORE shopping hits us all, well we do need to buy some Converse.

Jump in the car and off to Buena Vista outlets – which is where we have to come tomorrow to offload our suitcases and get our boarding passes!

It starts to rain – why oh why does it always seem to rain when we are shopping? We find a Converse shop – and buy up half of it – or so it seems. Even I buy a pair of really nice ones, and Andy and Stef also buy. Lauren buys for her mate Vicky, and we carry on our shopping adventure. A couple of hours seems to pass in a matter of minutes, and we head home.

When we get back , and start to complete the job I started earlier in preparing the suitcases – highlights the fact that we are short by at least one suitcase. We will need to buy one in the morning – or possibly a set.

Dinner is planned to be in the H20 bar – the hotel bar, which does sell food. We go down and find a table – and the barman brings over a menu. We order, I have a beer and Anita has an alcoholic drink – and everyone consumes their food. Anita decides to head back to the room and sort out all the suitcases again, so I pay the bill. I go back to the room, and Andy, Stef and Lauren go off on their own.

Anita and I pack as best we can - and as she has no drinks in the room – I head back to the bar and get her another double Bacardi and coke. I return and its suddenly 11 pm. Stef and Andy come back – but no sign of Lauren. She has met up with her “friend” – so we are told, but no sign of her now, even though she was told to be home by 11.

I go down to the bar area, and then further down checking all the rooms. No joy or Lauren actually! I return to the room – and as she hasn’t come home go back and do some more searching. 11.30 and I enter the room – fairly defeated as I cannot find her – but she is there. She had not realised the time!

Andy and Stef decide that a bath might be in order – and take ice cream in with them. Once they have exited our room – where the large bath is, and we have another drink we all turn to our beds, ready for our long day tomorrow.
